Who We Are
Our Story
A legacy of compassion, healing, and service spanning over five decades
Where Healing Began
In 1972, a vision was born in the heart of Kisii County. What started as a small clinic with just a handful of beds has grown into one of the region's most trusted healthcare institutions.

Tabaka Mission Hospital was founded by missionaries with a simple yet powerful mission: to bring quality healthcare to underserved communities, treating every patient with dignity, compassion, and excellence.

Over the past 50+ years, we have expanded from a modest outpatient facility to a comprehensive Level 5 hospital, equipped with modern technology and staffed by dedicated healthcare professionals. But one thing has never changed—our commitment to serving our community with love and care.
Today, we proudly serve over 25,000 patients annually, offering specialized care across 15 departments while maintaining the personal touch that has defined us for decades.

The Future

Looking Forward with Hope
As we reflect on our journey from a small mission clinic to a leading healthcare institution, we are filled with gratitude for the countless patients, staff, partners, and community members who have been part of our story.

But our story is far from over. We continue to invest in new technologies, expand our services, and train healthcare professionals who will serve for generations to come. We are committed to staying at the forefront of medical care while never losing sight of the human touch that makes healthcare truly healing.
Together, we are building a healthier future—one patient, one family, one community at a time.
We heal with our hands, but we care with our hearts. Every patient is family, every life matters, and every day is an opportunity to make a difference.
